I have tried to teach my daughter chain stitches sometime last year already, but all my efforts were futile. The motions were too complicated for her, and she didn’t have the patience, nor the interest.
So, surprised I was, when she suddenly asked me for a skein of yarn for herself, and a crochet hook.
We spent a really nice daughter-mother afternoon together, during which I showed her the ropes, and was surprised to see how quickly she caught on in comparison to last year, and how patient she was. Let’s see how long she will keep her interest, and if she’ll be up for some sc stitches in a few days… for now she keeps on making endless (and many) chains.
Not too shabby, in terms of evenness, is it?
